Laurie, the son of medical doctor Ran Laurie, mentioned he felt responsible for “being paid more to turn into a faux model of [his] personal father”. From the beginning of season three, he was being paid $275,000 to $300,000 per episode, as much as three times what he had beforehand been making on the sequence. The actress joined House in 2007, but took time off last season from the television series to give attention to her movie career. When the writers of the show wrote “Three Stories”, the first episode by which Stacy appeared, the primary name they got here up with to play the character was Sela Ward. Although Ward was not initially thinking about portraying Stacy, she modified her thoughts after watching tapes of the show. While she was initially hired to look in solely two episodes of the primary season, the chemistry between Ward and Laurie was strong enough to have her appear in seven more second season episodes.
